Cameroon Economic and Industrial Days in Russia (CEIDR), Moscow, 8-10 June 2009

The Government of the Republic of Cameroon is pleased to announce the organization of the Cameroon Economic and Industrial Days in Russia which will take place in Moscow from 8 June –to 10 June 2009 at the Sheraton Palace Hotel under the theme "Russia-Cameroon: New Opportunities". The event is organized in collaboration with the Russian and Cameroonian Chambers of Commerce, the Embassy of Cameroon and International System Consignment Holding, the Publisher of My Africa magazine.
The Cameroon Economic and Industrial Days will comprise both a business forum on investment potentials in Cameroon and the prospects for Russian-Cameroonian economic and commercial relations as well as an exhibition of Cameroon-made products.
The Cameroon Economic and Industrial Days are expected to bring together over 100 Cameroonian and Russian businessmen, government officials, Parliamentarians, scholars, and a 10-man Cameroonian delegation led by the Secretary of State for Mines, Industries, and Technological Development, Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry.
Although the Economic and Industrial Days are intended to serve as a tonic in revitalizing Russian-Cameroon relations, the CEIDR-2009 will focus on 13 key sectors namely: Mines, energy, water, transport, agriculture, the development of textile industries, wood processing, fisheries, trade promotion and market development, the development of small and medium size industries, and tourism.
Apart from these events, a series of meetings are being programmed between officials of the Cameroonian Chamber of Commerce (CCIMA), and the Chamber of Agriculture (CHAGRI) and their Russian counterparts at federal and regional levels.
